Lisa Norman-Hudson finds ghosts in Old Gray Cemetery

Who would think that hanging out in Old Gray Cemetery after dark would be so much fun. A small group of us headed out to find some ghosts and sure enough we did. The Knoxville police asked us a few times what we were up to but they could see we were having way to much fun and let us continue shooting. On the ghost image we used flash lights to light up the head stone and then shut them off while our model got into place. We turned them back on to light her for a bit and then shut them off again as she moved back out of our frame. The ghost effect was really neat. She looked the most transparent only when her body was in front of the stone. Off to the side and we lost the ghost appearance. These were shot at 200 ISO, F8 and about a 30 second exposure to create our ghost. On the Hall head stone I tried to photoshop one to look almost like a negative and the other to look almost angelic like. When shooting head stones by themselves I places a little LED light on the stone to bring out details and then played with my color temperatures until I got something I liked. I had my flash powered down and pointed directly behind me so I didn't blow out the head stones or light up the surrounding trees to much. I figured it was a security measure anyway... If anyone or anything was sneaking up on me, my flash would freak them out and blind them just enough for me to make my escape. haha! It was a bit chilly but our model stuck it out and did a super job. Thanks to everyone who participated, I wouldn't have been out there at that hour without you!
